Streamlined Garage Installation: A Seamless Process!

Our streamlined and efficient garage installation process, is designed to make your experience seamless and stress-free. At every step, we prioritize clear communication and meticulous preparation to ensure a smooth installation of your metal garage, workshop, or storage building. From coordinating installation timelines to confirming site readiness, our goal is to deliver a hassle-free experience, allowing you to focus on the excitement of having your ideal space ready for use.

The Installation Process

Prior to the installation date for your building a representative from scheduling will contact you to inform you of your installation timeline. Before your date can be set you must have your building permit (If you require one where you are building) and you must have your foundation ready (i.e your concrete must be set, asphalt must be in place, ground must be cleared, etc.), you must also have the pad and site cleared of any debris that may get in the way of the installers and/or the installation of your building. Then, a few days prior to installation you will receive a call to confirm that you are ready. On the day of installation, the installers will arrive at your site with your building ready to install your metal garage, workshop or storage building.

Step 1.

Base Rails Installation

The first step the installers take is to verify that your pad is level. Once they have verified this they will start the process of anchoring the baseplate into your foundation. If your building is being installed on the ground they will use ground, or mobile home anchors. These anchors are 3’ long and are installed through the baseplate directly into the ground. If you are building on asphalt, asphalt anchors are used, designed specifically for asphalt. If you are building on concrete the installers will use concrete anchors. (There is no need to set any anchor bolts while pouring your foundation as this is taken care of during the installation process.)

Next the installers arrange, align, level, and square the base rails. The base rails are the steel frames that run the entire outline of the building. Once the building is laid out, the base rails are secured to the foundation. Anchors are inserted through the base rail and drilled into the pad.
If you are planning on running plumbing or electrical it’s best to do this after the installation of your building has been completed. If you have already run the electrical and/or plumbing, please be sure that the installation crew is aware and clearly mark them so they know where they are located. You should also have any city or county underground wires or cables marked to avoid possibly puncturing these during the installation process. You can find these locations by calling 811. This is a very important step to take the safety of the installation crew and to avoid any damage to the lines and/or disruption to utility services.

The next step is installing the frames. The frames are made up of the legs, which are the upright supports that attach to the bows or trusses, depending on the width of your building. The frames are assembled on the ground and then raised up and put into place. There are sleeves on the base rails into which the legs are set and then fastened. Each frame is then assembled and installed in its own sleeve.

Once all of the frames are assembled, put in place and secured to the base rail the next step is to install the wall and roof sheeting. Once the wall sheeting is up, roll up door, walk door and window openings are cut and framed out. Once all of the wall and roof sheeting is installed any doors and/or windows you ordered are installed.

Clean Up

The final step is for the installation crew to clean up any scrap metal or debris left over from the installation. And voila, you have a brand new, beautiful steel garage building installed on your property within a matter of a few hours. Enjoy!
